Check out an article we helped write with Buckrail about keeping your pets healthy and safe during winter months:
If you’re feeling extra generous this Holiday season a couple of local businesses are accepting items for local animals in need:
PAWS of JH has partnered with Pet Place Plus to distribute dog and cat food to Hole Food Rescue, the Jackson Food Cupboard, and the Senior Center to help those who are in need and have hungry pets during this holiday season. If you’d like to donate food to locals in need this holiday season please give the PAWS office a call at 307-734-2441. Food must be unopened.
The Animal Adoption Center is putting on a dog house drive to support their partnering shelters! We all know how winters are in the Northern states and want to help the dogs that may need a little extra shelter these coming months. Most dogs in shelters have to spend hours in the frigid outdoor temperatures and something as simple as a dog house could keep them warm, happy and healthy. They will be accepting dog houses starting today, December 8th, through Tuesday, December 26th here at the AAC. We will also be accepting any pet related goods (food, toys, paper towels, etc.) that we will transport with the dog houses to the surrounding shelters. For more info give them a call at 307-739-1881.
Mountain Mutts, located at 1300 Carol Lane, has put up an animal angel tree in their lobby. You can pick out a local shelter animal and fulfill their Holiday wish list and bring the gifts back to Mountain Mutts to be delivered to them for the Holidays. For more info call Mountain Mutts at 307-201-5550.
