Pumpkin was dumped somewhere in WY, a sad but comm Pumpkin was dumped somewhere in WY, a sad but common situation that some dogs experience. Luckily for Pumpkin a Good Samaritan found him, his siblings, and assisted them in finding homes.

Pumpkin pictured with his mom, is the total apple of her eye. She applied for a neuter voucher for Pumpkin so he wouldn’t contribute to the number of dogs being born and dumped to fend for themselves. Simply when there is a surplus of something (even if it is live creatures), they are not treated as valuable and are dumped like trash.

Spaying, neutering, and rescue are the answers to reducing the number of unwanted animals fending for themselves and decreasing shelter populations… PERIOD.

Thank you to Pumpkin and his mom for sharing their story and making sure that Pumpkin isn’t contributing to the high number of unwanted pets we are seeing regionally.

When programs collide resulting in pets saved… w When programs collide resulting in pets saved… well that’s the best paycheck our staff could ever receive.

The flashy feline enthusiast, Pauline, was a student in our humane education program at Rendezvous Upper Elementary in Driggs, last fall.

She found a new mama cat and kittens on her family’s property, and Pauline knew what to do. She knows that companion animals need human help in order to survive. She gave the new mama a box, blankets, some tuna and a safe place for the night. She had her mom drive them to our open admission shelter, @pawsoftv the next day.

Do we wish this mama was spayed and didn’t have to birth 6 new homeless kittens into the world, of course…. But we are happy to know that students like Pauline take life saving knowledge away from our classes and feel responsible to help pets in need in their community.

Mama and kittens will be available for adoption in the future. They need time rest, recoup, grow, and be vetted.

Thank you Pauline, and thank you to all who adopt, volunteer, spread our mission, and donate. 🧡
